Applications for NAW 2011 Now Being Accepted

Applications can now be made to join the National Academy of Writing for the 2011 Session.

Although some writers are referred to The Academy by our agent partners, applications can also be made directly to join the Academy for 2011.  Details of the 2011 schedule can be found on the course page, and writers interested in joining should contact the Course Coordinator Rena Brannan

Places are available to authors of all genres of narrative prose, and the Academy offers guidance for a project of clear promise that needs revision in order to be accepted into the market.  The qualification for entry is the writing, irrespective of age or educational background.

Direct applications will require a submission of no more than 5000 words of prose taken from the start of a longer project.  All submissions received before October 31 will receive brief feedback from the Director - promising texts will be included on a longlist and the final twelve writers will be chosen and notified in early January 2011.

The deadline for applications is 31st December 2010
